We continue broadcasting online!
On Wednesday's you can relive the magic of Wear
FM's Gay2Gay show with Mega Sal. On Saturday 24 July
you can listen to our Northern Pride special - a
chance to hear highlights from this years event!
We'll be bringing you more programmes online over
the next few weeks so keep listening and we'll bring
you full details here and on our
facebook page.

It's our last day on 87.9FM :(
Thank you for all of your support over the last
28 days, but sadly for now, this is the last day of
our programmes on 87.9FM. We'll continue playing the
music you love online (just click on the 'listen'
button above). All of the Pride Radio gang say a big
THANK YOU to everyone involved with a successful
Northern Pride and Pride Radio. Listen out... we'll
be back!

Today is Northern Pride!
The day we've been waiting for is here! Join us
for some great programmes
starting at 8am with the build up to Northern
Pride 2010 and if you can get to Leazes Park in
Newcastle come and say hello - look out for the
Pride Radio stage!

We're a group from the north east LGBT community
who wanted to have our own voice for the Northern
Pride festival... a place for music, chat, gossip
and the space to address some serious issues.
We also wanted a radio station that talked about us
- when was the last time you heard a radio station
give a mention to a gay girl and her partner? Or
wish someone well on the anniversary of a civil
partnership?
No. Neither had we! So Pride Radio was
born.
We were granted a licence to broadcast for 28
days leading up to Northern Pride on 17 July 2010 by
OFCOM. Those 28 days were a great success with many
listeners wanting us to continue (there's even
a petition on facebook to get us back on FM
ASAP!)
We will be carrying on via our website. We know from
feedback that that there is a demand for the music
we play.
We would like to be on air 24/7 on FM and we are
seeking a full time licence. This all depends on the
broadcasting regulator OFCOM. |
We bring you non-stop big gay tunes 24 hours a
